The Third Regional Astronomy Summer School (3RASS) at the Byurakan Observatory for Astrophysics - Armenia will take place from September 11th to 15th, 2023.
The Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Science participated in the Third Astronomy Summer School organized by the Byurakan Observatory for Astrophysics. During the school, students gained observations and information on how to observe using telescopes measuring 1 and 2.6 meters, along with practical educational sessions on obtaining and analyzing meteorological data, including workshops on star data analysis and more.
The school lasted for five days, with each day filled with valuable lectures to help students specialize in the field of astronomy and space technology, accompanied by a good number of students from the Middle East region.
During the school, we were honored by the presence of Dr. Eng. Awni Mohammad Al-Khasawneh, who delivered a lecture highlighting the role of the Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Science and the Astronomy Development Office in the Arab region. Dr. Al-Khasawneh engaged with the attendees, answering their inquiries.
At the end of the school, Dr. Al-Khasawneh expressed gratitude to Dr. Arik for his valuable efforts that contributed to the remarkable success of the school.
